The Downes Flight Patch

The patch carries an image of the Shuttle Orbiter, drawn by a Downes student, superposed on brickwork representing the school’s façade. The bricked area has the slightly-flattened circular outline of an "oblate spheroid", the shape of the Earth. The words "Downes", "NASA" and "Melroy" appear around the outside of the patch.

Pam will carry the Downes flight patch aboard STS-112 to the ISS. It will return to Downes after her flight.
